Trust Planning With Beneficiary Well-Being In Mind: How Advisers Can Help Prepare The Next Generation For Inherited Wealth
Renaissance Charlotte SouthPark 5501 Carnegie Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28209
Advisers should discuss how trusts may positively or negatively impact beneficiary growth and well-being when counseling clients on wealth transfer planning. While our training gives us the skills to maximize asset growth, protection, and tax savings, often the client’s most significant “why” for passing on wealth is to positively impact the well-being of future generations of their family members.
Todd will discuss some of the shortcomings of traditional planning tools and how they impact beneficiary well-being, share an empirically-backed framework to define well-being, and explore the uses and benefits of Delaware’s new Beneficiary Well-Being Trust Statute.
This session is NC State Bar and CFP Board approved for 1 CE credit.
