President's Letter

Dear Charlotte Estate Planning Council Member:

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as President of Charlotte Estate Planning Council (CEPC) for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. I am excited to work with our Board of Directors to continue the long tradition of excellence for our Charlotte Council.

Also, thank you for your consideration of continued membership and participation in CEPC. Through your membership and support, CEPC can provide educational programs, organize networking opportunities and develop new initiatives to strengthen the CEPC community. CEPC has maintained consistent growth and support across our various disciplines over the years and we know the current climate has required each of us to recalibrate. Over the past 15 months, our Council was able to quickly move to virtual meetings offering them all, complimentary to our members, including a few fun "Networking Roulettes".

For the upcoming year, we are evaluating the right move for our Council and will be looking at all safety measures with the hope for in-person meetings. More to come on our 2021-2022 plans, but know whether they be virtual or in-person, we look forward to bringing our membership nationally recognized speakers along with new networking events to keep us connected and informed.

In addition, we will partner with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC) to take full advantage of the programming and benefits that the NAEPC provides. The NAEPC has stepped-up its support of the local chapters and we will pass along opportunities that arise.

I look forward to serving the CEPC community in the upcoming year, and as always, please let us know if you have questions, suggestions or are interested in sponsoring another individual for CEPC membership.  You can contact our offices at 704-940-7382 or via email at [email protected].

Thank you again and I look forward to seeing you this year!

Sandi Thorman

2021-2022 President
