About the Program
Elizabeth Forspan, Esq. of Fors pan Klear, LLP, a New York-based Estate Planning and Elder Law firm, will d iscuss the various aspects of planning for those with disabilities as well as planning for clients with family members who are disabled and in receipt of government benefits. The lecture will include a discussion of Suppleme ntal Needs Trusts and the taxation of such trusts. Elizabeth will also rev iew important information regarding guardianship and conservatorship procee dings as well as planning with advance directives.

Elizabeth speaks throughout the United States on various aspects of Elder Care Planni ng, Tax Law and Estate Planning. She was the recipient of the prestigious M ax Block Award for Outstanding Article in the Category of Technical Analysi s, awarded by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants’ C PA Journal for her article “Casualty Losses for Property Damaged by Hurrica ne Sandy.”
Elizabeth has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in th e areas of Estate Planning and Probate and Elder Law in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2 019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Elizabeth has been featured in New York Magazine, MarketWatch, and she has been quoted in the New York Times. Elizabeth’s ar ticles and contributions have been featured in the New York Law Journal.
Elizabeth earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. from Queens College of the City University of New York, where she graduated summa cum laude and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
